How To Find Your HS Tariff Codes For Exporting Goods

Stephanie Steele Tuesday, 1 December 2020

HS Tariff Codes are now obligatory (after December 31st 2020) when shipping products to EU countries. If you are a business that would regularly export goods either for e-commerce or to producers on the continent, there is now additional paperwork needed to ensure your goods are not delayed - or rejected - by customs.

The Harmonized System (HS) is a standardised numerical method of classifying traded products. Every single fabric, every garment, every product must have a tariff code applied to them in order to get through customs without hiccups.

In this lesson, we show you how to find HS Tariff Codes for your products and add them to your e-commerce system, using our own Offset Warehouse fabrics as an example.
